FCS and Julian Wilson have again partnered to offer a limited edition JW ‘Pink’ Signature Fin and Traction Pad.
These products have been produced to help support JW, not only in raising awareness for breast cancer, but also to provide a financial contribution to some of Julian’s preferred charities. Along with collaborative ‘Pink’ products by Hurley and JS, a portion of the proceeds will go towards Julian’s annual charity donations, one of which is supporting breast cancer research and recovery.
BACKGROUND
This annual initiative spearheaded by Julian launches each year at the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast, and was initially sparked when his mum was diagnosed with breast cancer some years ago. This obviously had a huge impact on Jules, who in the past has worked alongside the Australian Breast Cancer Association.
In recent times, Julian has directed any fundraising efforts towards more localised charities and individuals struggling with various forms of cancer. At the core of this initiative is the awareness around breast cancer research and recovery, which is represented by the pink highlights on these products.Available now at selected core board stores for a limited time only
SurFebruary is a fun annual event in February, where participants raise money for cancer research by catching a wave or getting in the water every day – rain, hail or shine.
This episode sees Rich catch up with Mick Fanning on his recent trip to the US to chat about what he’s been riding, the development of his iconic fin template and how he came to embrace the FCS II system.
